Finishing my latest employment as an achitect,

I signed up for Bornholms Folk High School for the

2007-2008 vinterterm, seeking a creative interlude.

 

Beyond the many general impressions, characteristic to

this type of school, I had the great opportunity to test my

architectural background on the many different techniques of ceramics.

 

 

 

This stay however made a large impression on me, much more

than I immediately had expected.

Being an architect in times of financial crisis is very difficult

and at the same time my interest in ceramics is growing.

I therefore decided to continue my studies and

signed up for the 2 following vinterterms on Bornholm.

Just finishing my last stay in spring 2010.

If somehow the momentary decline of the danish building

industry should increase, I could imagine a future being a ceramic artist.

 

 

The just completed Vinterterm I have tried to learn more about

precise throwing techniques, woodfiring and experimenting with ashglazes.

At the same time I have tried to bring more design into ceramics

as well as sculpturing more freely.

Subjects I untill now have suppressed deliberately

in order to focus more on the learning proces.
